The EGS AHS Summer Sessions have come to a close!
We have successfully completed both of the 2025 Summer Sessions. We are pleased to share some meaningful images, especially from the Graduation Ceremonies, where we also celebrated the 30th anniversary of our Arts, Health and Society division.
The sessions unfolded smoothly, with all planned academic activities, workshops, and community gatherings taking place in a spirit of openness, creativity, and collaboration. It was a rich time of learning, artistic exploration, and connection — one that allowed us to honor our tradition while looking ahead with renewed energy.

Keynote Lecture at IEATA Conference
Our PhD Program Director, José Miguel Calderón, was invited as keynote speaker at the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA) Conference, held this year at Endicott College in Boston — a beautiful venue by the sea, surrounded by gardens, an ideal setting for such a meaningful gathering.
José Miguel presented on the Vital Tinkuy: Processes of Transformation in Expressive Arts, a body of work developed in collaboration with Judith Alalú, faculty member, drawing from both of their doctoral research projects. Although Judith could not be present, José Miguel had the honor of sharing their joint work on her behalf.
The presentation was warmly received by the community. It was a meaningful opportunity to reconnect with colleagues in the field, with a special joy in meeting again with a group of EGS alumni who participated in the conference. The event offered a space to share knowledge and to continue weaving connections that strengthen our practice globally. The conference itself became a rich intercultural encounter, reflecting the growth and vitality of Expressive Arts across diverse contexts worldwide.
